Break it down Itinerary overview

Arriving in Cape Town, you’ll find your feet over three nights in the grand surrounds of The Silo, a converted grain silo, with exquisite views of the Atlantic. Home to a meticulously curated collection of South African art, this exclusive retreat is anything but ordinary. Expect a Cape Town experience tailored to your specific tastes, coupled with a visit to Africa’s own MoMA, the esteemed Zeitz MOCAA.

Less than an hour from the city, in the winelands of the Cape’s French quarter, Leeu Estates will be your home for the next two nights. You’ll stroll through Franschhoek’s oak-lined streets and taste some of the estate’s finest reserves in the impressive wine library. And if you happen to spy a special piece in the in-house art gallery, you can have it shipped home – together with several cases of wine, of course.

Your safari starts the moment you arrive at the Skukuza airport. This charming bush airport was reimagined and rebuilt by the owners of Ivory Lodge (not a bad first impression). It’s just a short drive to the Lodge where you will be greeted en-route by at least one animal representative of the big five. Tucked into the banks of the famous Sand river, prepare to be smitten. Considered one of the best in the private Sabi Sand’s game reserve. Its savanna teems with leopards – the reserve’s most famous residents – as well as countless other curious wildlife. Over a few exhilarating days, you’ll live out your ultimate safari dream on game drives and guided bush walks. And round your afternoons off with a stroll through the Lodge Art gallery and if you’re lucky perhaps you’ll get to meet the artist in resident.
