From there, it’s off to the remote red sands of the Kalahari in search of rarities like black-maned lions, pangolins and a private table at Klein JAN.

It's your last morning in the Kalahari Desert – soak it up! Have a leisurely breakfast at camp or head out for one last game drive before making your way to the airstrip and hopping on a flight back to Cape Town.

In Cape Town, you’ll stay in a stylish boutique retreat on the Atlantic Seaboard, surrounded by fine art, fine wine, and views worth framing. In the Kalahari, your lodge offers private villas or suites with plunge pools, romantic sleep-out decks under the stars, and gourmet dining — including the coveted Klein JAN experience.
Yes! All flights or private charter transfers between Cape Town and the Kalahari, plus onward road or air transfers to your lodge, are included in the itinerary. We handle all the logistics so your journey is seamless.
Expect sightings of black-maned lions, cheetah, leopard, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, and a range of unique desert-adapted species. If you have the luck genes, you might see a Pangolin. You’ll also have the rare opportunity to walk with expert guides, track wildlife on horseback, and spend time with habituated meerkats.
The Kalahari is a year-round destination, but May to September offers cooler temperatures and clear skies that are perfect for game drives and stargazing. October to April brings warmer weather, dramatic summer thunderstorms, and a flush of green vegetation. Cape Town is glorious in summer (November to March) but remains an exciting city to explore at any time.
