With the Zambezi to its front and a wildlife-laden floodplain to its notably elegant rear, Ruckomechi Camp has a plum position beneath a canopy of acacias casting a spell of Mana magic. Here at Ruckomechi Camp, huge herds of buffalo and elephant rumble by, and lion and leopard sightings are almost as common as its four-finger G&Ts. French linen mixes with greys and blues, and warm smiles match the upward swoop of the grand tented ceilings. If you can tear yourself away from your outdoor shower, this is prime walking safari terrain and sunrise canoeing on the Zambezi is not to be missed. But for the love of Nyami Nyami*, don’t drop anything overboard! You can pretty much kiss it goodbye.
