Above the wonderfully wiggly Boteti river lies Meno a Kwena. This authentically simple and charming tented camp promises a front row seat to the thronging wildlife herds that are drawn to the river below. Perched on the edge of a clifftop overlooking the river, the lodge provides a literal armchair safari. From here you can sip G&Ts and forget the world exists for a brief moment.
The Meno a Kwena Experience
Meno a Kwena is the ideal base from which to experience the annual Zebra migration. During the rainy green season, the zebra herds are found in the Makgadikgadi and Nxai pans. In the drier months, which is most of the year, they hang out along the Boteti River. This makes Meno the ideal vantage point as it perches on the edge of a cliff, looking down on the river.
