Setting the Scene
Sitting proudly on the edge of the Monwana River, you’ll find Seseka. Lounging beneath the lush canopies of the seasonal riverbed, Seseka’s definitely got the best seat in the house. So good, you could spot just about any of the Big 5 from your outrageously plush bed. You’re in the Greater Kruger, after all, the birthplace of luxury safari, and Seseka fits in effortlessly.
Wildly Stylish Sleeping Arrangements
Seseka is the only tented camp in this little area of the Greater Kruger, known as Thornybush. And, she owns it. Seseka’s your friend who shows up in neutrals but still manages to outdress everyone. Stylishly understated and effortlessly cool. Just step inside one of nine canvas suites and you’ll see exactly what we mean. Soaring circus-top ceilings, earthy accents, and botanical prints that bloom across the tent walls (who even thinks of that?). Add a private riverside deck, plunge pool, and outdoor shower (you know, the basics), and you’ve got something close to magic. Not to mention the most perfect bath.
Food Philosophy
All this excitement is bound to work up an appetite. Don’t worry, hunger is a short-lived emotion at Seseka. Like a culinary conveyor belt with impeccable taste, meals appear just when you think, “I could nibble” (I mean, when in Rome). From bush snacks and high-teas to fire-lit feasts, the good stuff keeps coming. Expect to leave full, happy, and vaguely suspicious that your trousers have shrunk. If one thing’s for sure, it’s that breakfast at Seseka is most certainly the most important meal of the day (especially if it’s got anything to do with their bush breakfasts). We’ll leave it at that. And where to even start with dinner? The Monwana’s bone-dry riverbed practically begs for a glass of wine and a lantern-lit dinner under the stars.
Wild Origins
Days at Seseka are as thrilling or lazy as you please. If you’re anything like us, they start with an Amarula coffee and a rusk (or two) before heading into the sunrise for a game drive. You’re deep in leopard country here, so keep your eyes peeled. And, if you’re lucky, you might just spot a pack of wild dogs on the move, or lions before their mid-day slumber. Birders, bring the binoculars — the skies are alive! Come late afternoon, it’s all about golden light and good company. Trade stories with your guide and tracker whilst enjoying the ritual of a bush sundowner, as the bush comes alive around you.

Think massages that melt every muscle, scrubs, wraps and facials that leave you glowing, manis, pedis, and yes… even waxing. Because who says the bush can’t pamper you, too?
